Oscar

Cunning and resourceful, a young orphan boy who grew up on the streets. He had to learn to fend for himself and protect his younger brother, Alan. He wanted warmth once upon a time, but too many cold and hungry nights have chilled his heart. Does he keep his brother around because they're of the same blood or because Alan is a convenient cover story?Oscar is a child of greed - nothing is more tempting than an offer from the mysterious matriarch, Adelle Blackwood, to work for the Blackwood family. The catch: Oscar must kill her stepson, Edward Blackwood, within a certain time limit to replace him and inherit the Blackwood family name, money, and power. But after meeting Edward, does he still want to go through with the plan...?Wherever Oscar goes, trouble follows - or rather, it is better said that Oscar is the trouble, the eye of the storm. While he walks, the world around him trembles and falls at his feet.

Edward Blackwood

A child that shines brighter than the sun but was born into the darkest depths: the Blackwood family. His name is a curse, one that he isn't aware of yet but will very soon, for the Blackwood family is a family of assassins and cursed to become vessels of a tyrannical god. But was it really a mistake for such a kind boy to be born into this family? If he cannot remember everything about his past, how much of his present is a reality? There's something more sinister lurking in the depths of Edward's heart...Edward's exploration and discovery of the truths of his family coincide with Oscar's untimely arrival at Blackwood Manor. But if the Oscar he thinks is his friend turns out to be a lie...

Alan

Naive and a bit slow as some children are, Alan is Oscar's younger brother who lived on the streets of London as an orphan. With the help of new friends, Alan tries to find the truth.Icarus flew too close to the sun. Alan did too. When he awakens again, "Alan" is dead. In his place is Cassiel, the Angel of Tears, who was sent to Earth to help the Blackwood family fend off the Fallen in a millennia old war. But Cassiel did not come alone. His friend, Kamael, was sent along with him in human form and currently has no memories of the past because he's alive. As his friend turned brother turned killer.
